 Catia Ott is an Italian-born filmmaker that has lived and worked in Paris and in London.

After a degree in Political Science at La Sapienza University and an experience as an audiovisual production assistant in Rome, she moved to Paris in 1992. In Paris she starts working in the production of commercial films for various advertising agencies. From her interest in the themes of landscape, architecture and history, she began working on documentary projects. In 2008 she presented the documentary “TEVERE”, a historical-cultural walk across the Tiber river. The documentary is presented at various events and shows including the National Gallery of Art in Washington DCHer films have been presented in Canada, USA, UK and Italy and she participated in the Biennale of Public Space in 2015 and 2017 in Rome. Since 2016 she has been collaborating with costruttoridiimmagine.tv with a series of city portraits, Travel Notes. In March 2017 she held the conference "Filming the City" at the National Institute of Architecture in Rome and in April 2019 at the John Cabot University in Rome.The documentary, "MATERIA", which was released in April 2022 sets out to discover artisans and designers in the city of Rome. The documentary is presented at various festivals in Italy and abroad and is broadcasting on tv.diamante.live.
